"a 1 for 1 rights issue for current shareholders at $6 per share would raise up to $860m".
The problem with that is for many sharholders (myself included) this would require payment of several hundred thousand dollars, money I'm sure that many don't have. If you didn't participate in the issue then the dilution of your holding would be simply frightening.
