If the auction had buyers at 0.7 then many would have sold but I cant see how an open buy order catches 1 share at a higher price. It does not bother me rather it is the technical side of doing it that i am interested in"

As I was nearing the front of the 0.006 queue earlier in the day, I increased the size of my order so that the rest of the order was at the back of the queue. Once I was filled with the front portion I amended the order to a lower price, hence keeping the order "open" as it was unfilled. This is just a simple technique I use to save on brokerage. Of course in the case of a line sweep then there is no time to pull the order back so its gets filled and closed, but it works 90% of the time.

During the auction I noticed that there were no overlapping orders, so I simply amended my order to x+1 units @ 0.007 (x being my original fill) and submitted it with 5 seconds to go, hence resulting in the 0.007 close. It was just a bit of luck that it worked out that way because this thing is generally manipulated right up to the last second with instantaneous buys/sells getting placed/pulled.

A big negative? You'd much rather it was manipulated down on close? ROFLMAO Why? Please tell me why? apart from the fact you don't own any? What an utterly ridiculous and self serving statement.
