It was hard to tell if these people were directly effected (landowners) or just anti the idea. One lady was convinced that Mantle was already polluting the land with the current drill rig. She could see the 'oil' going straight into the land. Callum tried to explain that there was no oil, the water was dirty from the coal, as they were in the seam. The water was all recycled and at the end is filtered and cleaned, it didnt matter what he said, not interested.
I didnt directly speak to them, but I did plenty of eaves dropping on there conversations, they are worried about the dust and pollution from an open cut mine. Maybe Mantle`s relationship with the relevant landowners is OK, surely it would have to be if they have given the permission for drilling?
