The only people who don’t know of a slowdown are government workers, does this fit you?
Talk to people outside your circle, read the papers, look at the retail shops empty in your area; look at the housing situation, etc etc. the evidence is there.
The mining economy has very little effect of the other 90% of Australians and it can boom all it wants to but the plain simple fact is that costs are increasing quickly for the other 90% and they are feeling forgotten.
The reason that the reserve bank drops interest rates is because they believe hard times are here.
