In the latest announcement:
"The antibody works by binding to the Cripto-1 molecule and interfering with cell signalling, resulting in the death of the cancer cell. The antibody may additionally be coupled to cytotoxic drugs to deliver a more lethal combination of drug and cell signal to cancer cells."
I have to admit I was unaware that the Cripto-1 antigen could be coupled to cytotoxic drugs. I wonder if it follows because of this that the highly toxic cytotoxic drug DOSE can be reduced to safer levels and let the antigen do it's work. If this is the case then this is huge as far as patient care is concerned, and the treatment of cancers.
Is there a Doctor in the forum who could elaborate on this possibility. IMHO it has far reaching consequences for cancer sufferers and PRR.
