re: denman: woods rules out returning to iraq Denman

You're right - I wasn't going to respond, had had my say, had moved on...

...but think about it. Banjar's defence/support of Hillali doesn't pass the reasonable and rational tests. Is it reasonable and rational to support Hillali when he is a proven liar and acknowledged supporter of the jolly jihad?

Why would you pick out a few inconsistancies and string them together?

When more than one person observes an event there are always differing accounts aren't there! No two stories will be exactly the same. It would've been a noisy, traumatic and terrifying rescue for Wood, and unless you've been under-fire a few times it's difficult to judge where the noise of discharge is exactly coming from, especially if you can't see anything as you're in the corner under a blanket. On TV (Wood on the bed surrounded by Iraqi and US troops) Wood said he had heard a rifle discharge from the room he was in.

Everyone else apart from Banjar seems to have moved on... Bajar on the other hand looks like he's suspended thought, reason and judgement and is blindly supporting and defending the indefensible Hillali.

He has not at any stage backed up his assertions (which you call facts) with any reference. Banjar says he's in search of the truth, If so let him show us his references, otherwise leave it alone.
