RRS was a long term trade in my opinion - I was always going to be out before the risk of shots being fired over Somalian oil - in the end it was clever marketing and fund raising in London on the AIM market that made money for me.
ADO is a completely different proposition. It is a final stage product that is being avaluated by multiple customers that may make a decision to take it on which will mean multi year or possibley multi decade cash flows for the company and dividends.
The prospect of a few $5m revenue signings seems high now for 2012 but the cash from those won't fully appear till 2013.
