It is strange and it's not so strange. ST money is following the scent of ST (daily) gains and hedging against ST (daily) losses... Nothing much is happening here until we get an ann so the ST traders take their money and stick it elsewhere for a day when the market is good and bring it back when the market is bad.
Watch the volume start to pick up at the first wiff of news...
