One media report claimed Wood was tied up with blanket over his head and the persons in the house claimed it was their sick grandfather or something. Another claimed Guns were found on site so you could conclude that the house occupants on seeing military personal approaching hid them rather than shoot it out or maybe the armed ones just fled.
If the Mufti had Intel about Woods location it appears that was incorrect and the claim that he was waiting for confirmation that the other two would also be released therefore making the raid foolish also appears incorrect as they had been killed before hand.
Now maybe in the World of espionage if the Mufti was acting with integrity then this shoulda waited claim is a ploy to divert attention from his involvement and knowledge or maybe he knew nothing but the publicity of his visit plus other endeavors kept Woods alive.
It does appear that the only person willing to claim all this special knowledge of what was going on is the Mufti and much of it in hindsight appears incorrect.
The interview with the head of the Australian task force in Baghdad on the day Wood was rescued didn’t seem to know how it happened.
I don’t reckon Woods will know either nor the will the rest of us but I reckon 10 might get good ratings on Sunday.
