I first subscribed to a newsletter "roneo'd" (poor quality print) from a guru in QLD and called the Lattern Letter, back around 1980.

It was Gann based and I think he finally concluded he couldn't figure the market and quit.

Anyway, the one thing that stuck with me was his view of IBM.

His claim was that when IBM starts to act well, the game is almost over.

I assume he was perhaps suggesting the big money was getting into the safe big cap stocks when they had doubts.

I have not done any serious study of IBM in that regard but may be worth looking at.
