Oh, I see. I was saying that for seden33's benefit.
As I indicated in that post, I didn't think the paper was that hard, but seden33 indicated through his question that he couldn't find the bit about where they obtained data pre-satellites. (It was actually stated in the second sentence of the paper - but the look of a science paper can be off-putting to people who aren't used to them.)
