To put simply, it was too good to be true. Imagine the Indians with control of LCY and therefore with control over the project going to accept 30% of equity in HAW, as previously announced.
They say that they want to develop the project and to keep the joint venture.
IF THAT IS TRUE, a full take-over of HAW would not make sense.
However, they would be able, for instance, to do with HAW what they did with LCY, that is, to buy 50% of HAW, and then push for a merger of LCY with HAW when they feel it becomes appropriate or advantageous to their interests to do so.
As I said here before, they must be given themselves a pat on the back for a job well done, I would say, superbly well done.
