I wonder then, is this move both an easy way to raise finance, while, at the same time, sticking the knife to those who played games with the SP ?

Or, to be more diplomatic, knowing that shorters are looking to leap on any sign of weakness, did LYC decide to avoid this, and, in doing so, inadvertently hurt those shorters ?

As for payback... certainly possible as ego's are large, but at the end of the day the shorters have required no revenge motivation in the past to punish LYC.

If LYC demonstrates weakness going forward it was always going to be punished by the shorters regardless.
