** Farmout discussions continuing

** Company has lodged a further application for additional Australian offshore acreage, released as part of the 2011 acreage release. WHL Energy expects to be notified in early 2012 if it has been successful.

** Evaluation of new venture opportunities in the Australian and greater East African region were also undertaken during the December quarter and are ongoing.

** As at 31 December 2011, the Company had A$3.672m cash on hand and no short or long term borrowings.

** UK and US assets will not be going forward
