Degolyer and McNaughton should be releasing their new assessment of KAR's prospective resources in Brazil and Peru in the next month or two - we'll then see how big a deal Peru is and how the market reacts.
Just to remind KAR followers, on 26 Oct I posted a summary of points made at their AGM. In particular:
6. "Mark said seismic now indicates that prospective resources are double what had been earlier believed in Brazil and Peru."
9. "Oil discovered onshore Peru ...gives support to their belief that they have potentially very large reserves in Peru."
P.S. Macquarie released on 24th Jan their latest estimate of a Target Price for KAR - $11 in 12 months. As a number of us believe, $11 looks conservative.
