sell off today-whats your opinion?

I make today's sell off currently about 24m shares being approx 3% issued capital based on around 800m shares

So even though its relatively small, on past day to day trading its historically abnormally large suggesting that:
1-theres big news to come out!!!
2-a fund manager trying to justify his/her position prior end of financial year 04/05 in which case the sell off 'might' be short lived
3-Perhaps Ah Plant Hire 'might' have finally found a new home if mgmt are serious about reducing debt levels
