3B's really mean nothing - Could be exercising so that they hold plenty when good news comes or - Could be exercising to get the price now and bail out before bad news or - Could be exercising simply because they have been given them and if they dont exercise them then thier years bonus is worth nothing. December / January historically is the date on most of SDL's options.
However I agree any news would be welcome, but history tells us that the board will tell us nothing. I recieved more SDL updates and news on SDL as I walked from my room in the Hilton down 10 floors for the AGM in November than I had in whole of the previous year. History tells us that we will be given news after the effect of that news has already been acted upon by interested parties. I really don't think the ASIC investigation will only be focussed on the Chinese actions but on all interested parties actions around news events. All in MHO. Best of luck to all.
