i guess what i'm saying Misty is that multi-culturalism to me means importing cultural mores. No one could pretend that corruption is not a major part of life in some countries .....often people say that that is a major reason for them leaving those countries. yet it is definitely carried out here under the pretext that 'there is nothing wrong with a bit of corruption'. It is an accurate observation and one that is talked about quite openly. i've found that there is an expectation that ' everyone is a little bit corrupt -because you have to be to get ahead'. If that is an acceptable price to pay to be multicultural - then so be it.
