"Oh, and a quick question, why are they called 'Hybrids' and not 'bonds' ?"
Bonds are debt.
Hybrids are a combination of debt/equity. ie it converts into equity. In reality, I dont see much difference between 'hybrids' and 'preference shares'.
The impairment charges will be interesting. We know cost cutting takes time. But I'm confident they will reduce costs throughout the year.
