For my 2 cents I don't think there will be a single link Byron can send he has probably connected many dots or heard something from a source he doesn't want to reveal. It seems to be a bit of storm in a tea cup because whether or not a Russian geologist is working for LOM or not doesn't seem that market sensitive.
1S1 is right of course what Mac was asking for was perfectly reasonable and Byron should have responded a bit softer.
