westcott, I've never said I know I'm right, 100% for certain. Please provide quotes where I've said that. Please show me where I have said for certain SDL are gone. I doubt you will find anything because I don't talk in absolutes about things I don't know for sure. I'm not certain they are gone, but I think it quite likely the T/O will proceed. You're reading into my posts what you want to read into them.
I said what I think is most likely to happen, what I think is most logical. I don't think the thoery of Hanlong jumping in just to help secure permits and conventions makes all that much sense. I'm providing an alternate view to yours, and it seems that you and many on here can't handle that. That's not my problem, that's yours.
All this comment about positive and negative, I couldn't care less. I'm reading into the situation and drawing my conclusion from it. I don't set my mind to only think positively about a stock and make any information I find fit that preconceived view. That's not how I assess stocks. In my opinion, that's what you do. As an example you are seeing BHP moving into Gabon as a positive, well it could also mean that BHP has raised the white flag in regards to SDL because it's basically a closed shop. BHP has realised this, moved on to Gabon, and may be eyeing off adjoining deposits like Badondo because the SDL nut is simply too hard to crack, thanks to Hanlong/Chinese ownership of shares and the Chinese relationship with Cameroon. An alternate read on the situation yes?
Again, sounding like a broken record, I think the T/O is most likely, that doesn't mean I know for certain the T/O will occur. I'll be the first to dance in the street if GC & Co can pull out a JV or extract a higher bid because it'll mean more money for me, but I'm not banking on it occuring.
