Parrot really regardless of loan defaults and the once purity of the gold standard, the Yuan is not overvalued compared to other currencies. The main reason I believe this is very simply the cost of labour in China is very cheap as compared to other countries. This is where the strength of the Yuan really lies. The good folk at Kitco would no doubt love to see a return to the gold standard as would all investors large and small around the planet. But it aint gonna happen!
