Although I'm a huge Beach fan, I have a sneaky feeling that the jump in BPT and DLS today was a little premature - if it was caused by the news from Shell that they are after Shale, then a) that's not a huge revelation and b) they will want to dispose of the rest of their Woodside stake first, which could be problematic given they also say they need to sell at the right price and at the same time sound desperate to sell (peculiar negotiating tactic.)
I also think what would suit Beach is a big boy JV to carry them through the shale derisking process. A t/o is still unlikely until further derisking, and as the SP rises on sentiment and success elsewhere, it becomes even less likely.
While the oil price looks a little shaky, I will be looking to take profits next week on the back of any further rise (say around $1.60) as i can't be certain the momentum will continue. Long term, a sure fire multibagger.
