    They possibly were still in continuing negotiations with Patterson regarding how many shares they were allowed to buy for the sophisticated investors. And being a Friday, that could have been the only solution.

    After all, I believe that Patterson weren't aware that the SPP was going to be oversubscribed. IMHO, neither JH was expecting that.
