With no racial overtones what so ever I have often asked myself the same question. We always hear about how 'disadvantaged' this minority group is. Yet, they have the most abundant resources with regards to money and social services/benefits that you can poke a stick at. Per capita they would have a staggering dollar vaue to represent these services.

For some reason job applications discriminate with the questioning of whether you are a IA/TSI. I assume it's related to affirmative action and subsidies available to the organisation for employing them. I believe applicants should be accessed on merit and not race.

I have worked with one. To say he is a hard worker and a nice bloke would be racist because I don't single out other races I've worked with and access their 'niceness/decency.'

But I understand your point. Why are they under represent in the workforce, particularly in the metropolitan area? A scan on seek.com and jobsearch.gov clearly shows that employment opportunities are abundant if one wants to work.

If anyone wants to ask me why I 'need the sightings', it's to know that my fellow man is breaking down the barriers and is not being discriminated against, particularly by theirselves.

PS: No racism intended and my friendships include Aboriginals.
