My Father and mother are in this very position. They have 2 investment properties and want to retire this year. They are looking to fund their retirement by selling their investment properties and living in their owned home in a middle ring suburb of Perth. I have tried to get my father to sell since 2009, but his excuse has been to wait closer until he retires I wonder how many baby boomers are in the same predicament with their properties slowly losing value.
