    The following may help.

My SMSF is in the pension phase. All investments are ASX shares and some cash. Around 120 trades per year. I go to a lot of trouble and care to provide my accountant with a complete and organised picture ( meaning I do not push all the papework received during the year into an envelope and say sort this lot out).

She charges me $212 per hour. That in itself sounds like an enormous sum of money but there are no extras. She has to employ staff, pay rent etc. She attends to all compliance matters. She arranges a seperate auditor. From time to time, i will email a query which she will answer the following day.

Total annual charges, including auditors fees come tpoaround $2,800 pa. I am happy with that.

    Cheers
