They are mining and producing.For 3 years consumption has exceeded supply;platinum is consumed,not worn around the neck.Fuel cell cars are just around the corner due to rapid advances in PEM technology based around new platinum alloys that have doubled the power.As for insecurity in Zimbabwe,try this.If platinum was mined in quantity in Australia it would have to be shipped to South Africa to be refined.The platinum in Zimbabwe has to follow the same route;ie it stays in the ground or is mined under South African control....Magabe is not in the loop.The processing of platinum is difficult not at all like gold.Expect to see increased attention on exploration in Australia.
