Quite right, Jet. Can you imagine, a young man, all full of enthusiasm to "save his king and country" going over there and suddenly realising that they had turned him into cannon fodder just as they had turned the country which he was attacking! It would be a nightmare on that basis alone, let alone what he would have gone through, what he would have seen, what he would have been ordered to do. The stress of anyone with the slightest sense of moral descernment would be unbearable. What was that bloody war about? What can they tell their kids? Can they be truly proud of what they've done there?
