Yes, thanks greenhouse. Some helpful points about patents (that are applicable to OBJ) that I have taken from that report are as follows:

Regarding patents (and patent applications):
- They provide convincing evidence that some sort of R&D activity has been undertaken;
- The level of patenting is an excellent indicator of a particular phase of R&D effort;
- Their proximity to the output of industrial R&D and other inventive and innovative activities means that there is no other equivalent indicator for this purpose;
- They show precisely what R&D the company is doing not just how much of it they are doing.
- They are also useful leading indicators of development work which may be a decade or more in the future.
