    The whole point of my post was that past valuations need to to be taken with a grain of salt. Hence my reference to the Petrohawk deal. Investors in the Australian CSG industry will know what I'm talking about.

    The domestic price of gas in the US cannot be dismissed out of hand. There are several companies in the US considering the possibility of exporting US gas. Oh the irony ! Only a few years ago when BHP and others were battling the movie stars in California to build a gas importing facility off the coast.

    As crazy as it sounds exporting US gas , one of the drivers behind it is US jobs. Very important in the run up to an election. Will also help fund the expansion and upgrade of the domestic gas network.

    Sure , the US won't be able to put gas into Asia as cheaply as we can , but that doesn't mean they won't try.
