SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Australia's unemployment rate decreased 0.1 percentage point to 5.1% in January, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Thursday. The number of employed increased by 46,300 to 11.46 million in January. The number of unemployed decreased by 15,300 people to 614,200 in January. The labor-force participation rate increased 0.1 percentage point to 65.3%.
