With respect, Geoff, you asserted that - "The non-announcement of a deal means there is no deal."
That is completely different to saying, "A signed deal is a deal - a deal which is being worked on is a prospective deal."
Being the point I was making. That there is no deal yet doesn't mean one isn't coming.
You can't have it both ways. Perhaps you could temper your enthusiasm for the downside with a bit more balance?
