Rud was toppled as PM when his polling numbers dropped as a result of 2 incredibely stupid decisions, mrt timing and Co2 shelving. Sure wasnt the "smartest man in the room" on those 2 occasions.
It wasnt because his colleages didnt like him. He had no faction hence he was very gettable bt Shorten etc. Im sure plenty from each faction cant stand each other. If he where returned, and its a big if, the trick will be not to make 2 monumentally stupid decisions again. The voters will stick with him if he can simply do that. But could he, thats would be the challenge.
