BZH - PYC have been granted a range of US patents over the years they have all their IP frimly locked down this is by no means the first however i think the underlining factor is early 2011 Phylogica succesfully demonstrated pre-clinical proof of concept with PYCAG5 (note the abstract below) & where persuing out-licensing agrrements with both big pharma & bio's for the candidate. However when you take J&J/Janssens deal structure initially starting out with an intraceluular target & then their November release with TBI first target of the "Ambitious neuroscience R&D program" i guess one could also assume that PYCAG5 may have played a large role in the intial deal being reached ?

Anyway nothing moving fast soley on a patent being granted but it does "possibly" open the eyes into whats happening behind the scenes.
