thanks all for your erudite comments.

am glad to hear that nmg have "heaps" (no pun intended) of feed material that does not require the crusher. that's a great resource to have until crusher is up and running.

re power supply it sounds like the worst case (which according to zxc may be what they're considering) is buying their own diesel gen sets. presumably this has two main issues:

1) initial cost and lead time to source and install the diesel gen sets resulting in possible production delays in the mean time. (this may be part of the reason another cap raising was required prior to production?);

2) higher production costs on an on-going basis (as presumably running costs of gen sets will be higher than grid power).
