I've lost a lot of funds on a stock building a smelter in Vietnam, I wouldn't say it's any better there. Some rels in Cambodia had to pay the fire brigade to spray water on their burning warehouse and not the pavement - but they still let the warehouse burn down.
Malaysia has its issues but before pointing the finger at them regarding political instability look at the crap we are going through in Australia at the moment.
