MELBOURNE (Dow Jones)--Australian explosives company Orica Ltd. (ORI.AU) is poised to bid A$1.6 billion for Dyno Nobel ASA, the Oslo-based explosives company put up for sale by private equity firm Industri Kapital (IKL.YY), the Herald Sun reports Wednesday, without citing the souce of its information.
Dyno Nobel's owner is seeking up to A$1.7 billion from the sale, which is expected to be completed by the end of August after the deadline for bids closes at the end of this month, the newspaper says
