Being someone who has stood outside the borders of Australia, actually currently living in London, and hasn't got a white Australian-nationalist islamophobic paper bag stuck on his head, I would note that the best comment about this all came from the Mayor of London, who said, in a most pleasing cockney accent (and I paraphrase) "That the people who perpetrated this action targetted the ordinary workers of London." Anyone who has ridden the tube knows that there are people of all origins who ride it... rich and poor, black and white, Muslim, Hindu etc... so if the people responsible are doing this in the name of an ideology, its a seriously perverted form of it. The Tube is perhaps the greatest leveller of people I have seen. A guy down on his luck could be sitting next to a millionaire stock broker... So it seems like a pretty stupid target to choose.
