my portfolio was gutted too through the GFC.
A few smallish trades here and there and with my current portfolio, I think I will make many multiples of what I lost.

It doesn't make up for lost time, but I'll still be in a good position.

Exactly as Bukka said, you need to ask yourself which is the best way forward?

You don't have to make up the money the same way you lost it.
