Everyone has been going on about how great NTU is and what a high REE content it has and i agree with all that BUT you guys seem to be missing out on one important point which is the high radioactivity of the ore.
Given how much stress we are getting right now with regards to the minute amount of radiation from Mount Weld ore there is no way in Hell that NTU ore will be coming into LAMP in Malaysia.
Also they way i see it is maybe concentrate NTU ore in the concentrator plant at Laverton Western Australia BUT there is no guarantee that the NTU ore will be compatible given that the chemical used at the concentrator plant is TAILORED specifically for Mount Weld ore. Concentrating and extracting rare earth is not simple like gold mining, its a bloody chemistry problem nightmare which so far only the Chinese know how to solve......
The barrier for entry for a REE start up is so damn high i hope you all start to appreciate the amount of Hurdles that Lynas has to overcome to get to where we are.
