Excuses excuses Dave. Independant review? And who organised that one? lol. And you're saying that the 10% of greedy and callous business operators killed people and burned houses to the ground? And you might think over 90% were fine and beneficial, but I think otherwise.
But then I'm not blinded by the sun shining in, and if the Libs were this deceitful and wasteful I would be posting just as negatively about them. Which is why I have so much trouble believing anyone could defend this government.
LOL Mike, no air conditioning - why am I unsurprised? It goes against the Green CO2 Grain after all, Julia dare not upset Lord Bob by letting the kids learn in a comfortable and happy environment. Bloody hopeless mate. And two and a half years doesn't sound like much to us oldies, but to a kid it's an eternity, and a very large percentage of their important education.
At least you have some positives though, new buildings & less maintenance etc. so it's not a complete and utter dead loss, a real shame that it could probably have been done for less than 1/12th of the price though.
Head you're right there, some people will never be happy and that's a fact of life. And I also know that the greedy cowboys only existed because of a failed and flawed ALP policy that invited - in fact begged unqualified bums off the street to work in trusting people's houses. And now the blokes that had been installing batts competently for years are mostly out of a job. Another industry destroyed by Labor.
Oh and head, "Its pretty mild in Melbourne normally.To humid for evaps and splits are expensive." - We have a pretty spacious home, the ducted aircon is 10 or 12 HP and cost me $11,000 (did the ducting myself). So if Mike's building cost even the same as the $954,000 single room library mentioned above the aircon cost would be negligable.
At the end of the day all governments are wasteful in our eyes, because most of us don't behave the same way with our own finances and we expect our leaders to have at least a tiny bit of common sense. And as I said before, if the Libs waste our taxes on ill thought out schemes I will be ranting on about them just as much. Probably more actually because I expect better from them.
