haha simonhhh.... well it is just a theory of course.... and you twigged me to it by mentioning Col's mining expeience. The penny dropped.

...but if it is correct, then immediately following the grant of the options to Col Jones on 5th April, there may be a pre-prepared asx release setting out the essential reason for the granting of the options.

Maybe something that says.. the company is pleased to announce that Mr. Jones will be undertaking duties on a full time basis to prepare all documentation aimed at commencing mining operations at AS at the earliest possible date. ( And maybe....A confidential funding agreement has been agreed to with Xstrata such that existing cash allocated to the current 50,000m exploration program will be preserved.... etc) .... (sigh) HOPEFULLY!!!

So his costs will not be seen as eroding funds strictly earmarked for exploring.

That would be ideal. We will see. It is just my guess :)) and I do not want to go toooo far out on the plank.

And IF the options are linked to his undertaking the task full time, there should be a death/disablement clause such that if he gets eaten by piranha etc, the options lapse and do not pass to his heirs. Small point. (Col is not that young btw.)

As the options require a formal vote, things oddly have to happen in this order. AVB should be in a hurry to then explain to the market WHY the options were granted.

For now it is a "trust us" thing..
