    ....and yet we have people still selling out.

    How dumb and short-sighted is that!

    Come on sellers - think a little bit about what is happening with YTC. You now have a major mining house (which is likely to get larger) with significant financial resources at its disposal and with existing operations in same area as a substantial holder.

    This move by Glencore is not based on obtaining a short-term profit from its investment. They just are not into those sorts of transactions.

    This is a deliberate and long-term move by Glencore to position itself for a full take-over of YTC. At worst, they are building a blocking stake in YTC so they will have a seat at the table in the event someone else makes a move.

    And I doubt whether they will be happy with 6%. To give them some real firepower and leverage, they will most likely continue to accumulate and you Mr Seller(s) are giving it to them at a substantially discounted price to what could be achieved if you thought longer than a 1 day investment horizon.
