LA you are correct. THere were many many white Christians who were there when Martin Luther King preached his famous sermon in Washington DC.
During the Hittler days there were eminent Christian German theologians who vehemently opposed the selling out of the church to fascism. Karl Barth, Martin Niemoller, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer (who was hanged) just to name a few.
