Of course Conoco is the most probable candidates of NSE’s takeover. However it would be simplicity to think only Conoco as main candidate. We should make more analysis and find out more candidates in more complex picture.
This was discussed before. We are now putting new ideas on top of old discussion.
I said this on my Post #: 7812391 on Feb.29 2012
“Because Conoco holds 75% of the project, it does not mean that no one can takeover NSE other than Conoco! Yes, of course anyone who pay the maximum price can takeover NSE and would be a JV partner at 25% with Conoco. It depends on the size of the project. That is so simple.
There are many major O&G companies have small shares from 12% to 25% shares in large Australian O&G projects atm.”
Gasbag said this on his Post #: 7814198 in same day;
“Should the Canning Basin/Goldwyer meets expectations I expect the likes of Conoco/Total/BG/Chinese and Japanese interest to bid for NSE's 25%.”
But we never talked about Hess..!
