Anything more positive than bad news is unheard and a myth in Nexusland (like father christmas). Pope Fowler will burn board members and CEO's to the stake for proactivity and talk of success.
I crinch when I read quotes from Fowler because it sounds so cliche and false. it sounds like something from "public speaking for dumbies".
Such as when he says "the calibre of the final candidates is impressive and has made the boards selection process quite difficult" it feels like his next line should be "its been the hardest CEO competition ever held but its been the greatest one I've ever chaired... back to you Susan..." :) ah, you've got to laugh or cry I suppose.
Did they give a reason for the share price drop and how it contradicted Fowler Grand comments or are they hoping no one will mention it. I suppose "less said the better" is Fowlers motto.
