That's just Clive being Clive. :) It doesn't mean that the guys will bleed for him if needs be, but it does mean that he will never have to train raw operating staff: The guys working for that miserable mob Korea Zinc will fill any vacancies that come up.
To be honest, I think he is prepared to splash out to be a "good bloke", he has more than he needs. Naturally he wants his businesses to stay profitable though.
