gyro, A good education doesn't mean a well rounded and mature individual who is able to become a valuable member of society.
It just means that they are not complete idiots, that they were given the opportunity to study either by rich parents, or some other access to the education sysem, often in the west, and that they applied themselves enough to their studies to pass.
It might be a sense of alienation that they feel in western societies that they don't feel when they are led step by step into the depths of extremism by skilled handlers.
It might be a feeling of empowerment to be secretly planning the destruction of those around them who they might feel resentment against.
I might be any number of things.
I do remember reading some story at some time in the last few years with the suggestion that Moh Atta had contracted some rather unpleasent/incurable venereal disease that would not go away from a prostitute during his wilder days and that the despair from this and the embarrasment of family and friends possibly finding out this contrbuted to his decision to suicide in the way he did. No body left to examine.
The recent female attempt to bomb the hospital in Israel where she was treated for very bad burns seems to have been the result of the exploitation of her untreated depression at her prospects for a life by islamic extemists.
There was another femal suicide bomber in Israel where the story seems to have been to do with restoring family honour after she had an extra-marital affair.
I would guess there are a number of routes that lead to this end, but most would probably involve the ruthless exploitation of emotionally vunerable people by islamic extremists who are always on the lookout for potential bombers.
