what i find quite bemusing is that the price of petrol fluctuates like a brides nighty

the australian institute of petroleum declares that diesel is subject to market forces. strange because petrol is also, and the price bounces around like a yoyo yet the price of diesel is very static even tho the demand for diesel is growing

they also go on to state that the pod is affected by the demand of other petroleum based products. diesel, basically kerosene, is a lower grade or less refined product than petrol and yet they declare that demand for this is dependent on other products - there is a very high and constant demand for petrol so how does the demand for the other products affect the pod? and last i saw, this morning, the pod was the same as the pop

they also say that it is seasonal. huh? singas, where we get it from, doesnt have seasons, per se. price doesnt fluctuate in aust - which does...

apparently the terminal gate price is of diesel is linked to the singas price of diesel not the price of crude. could this be a form of price manipulation? instead of basing it on the lower poc go for the higher cost and therefore the higher price.

    strangely tho according to http://www.mytravelcost.com/USA/gas-prices/
the pod is more expensive tha petrol in most places

import parity pricing set the whole thing off - swine. seems to be protecting the oilers rather than being beneficial to the public
